We are born free. We die freely. However, in between life and death, we are trapped in a series of illusions. We are bound and caged by social laws. We are trapped by social conditioning. These evil tools do much harm to us. A flower has the right to blossom because God empowered it to do so. Anyone who prevents a flower from blossoming is interfering with the law of God. He is interfering with nature.
Society and social tools interfere with natural growth. They may have been created for the greater good, but they do more harm than good. They do not benefit the growth of an individual, and they result in the manifestation of wars and crises. Thus, social laws are up to no good. At best, they can be used to create chaos and unnecessary tension. They can be used to ensure an illusion of structure and order, but in reality, there is no order. In society, everything is governed by chaos.
The true order and structure come from within. It is a natural flowering—a manifestation of an inner blossoming. As long as you are controlled and guided by an external stick, you can never be disciplined. If your discipline depends on an external authority who might shoot you if you don’t follow his order, your discipline is not real. It will vanish the moment there is no gun. It will vanish the moment there is no control or surveillance.
True discipline comes from within. It is a spiritual quality, which is why a spiritual aspirant is called a disciple. He is called a disciple because he is developing discipline naturally. It is not enforced upon him. His understanding, morality, or ethics are not injected into him; they manifest naturally, like how flowers blossom in the spring.
Until and unless human beings tap into their inner space, where they discover these innate qualities, they will continue to be controlled by social rules and orders. These tools and ideologies are not created to benefit people—they exist to serve the political and the powerful. They serve to empower dictators. Do not believe in any rules until your heart resonates with them. Don’t follow orders blindly until your reason agrees with them.
God himself has given you a mind and a brain; don’t insult God by abandoning your reason. You are a Divine being with the right to experience your own divinity. Don’t let anyone tell you what to do and what not to do. Find it out yourself, and you may discover why the stars shine and flowers blossom. You are no different. You are also one with the universe. You are part of the divine law. It is flowing within you.
